Mason Rudolph is an American professional football player who has represented as a quarterback, the Pittsburgh Steelers (2018–Present), in the NFL (National Football League). He had been picked up 76th overall by the team, in the 3rd round of the 2018 NFL Draft after an impressive college football career for the Oklahoma State University. During his high school career, Mason had passed for 10,986 yards and recorded 132 passing touchdowns. In his senior year, he had recorded 80 touchdowns and thrown for 4,400 yards, leading his team to the ‘4A State Championship’ with a 15-0 win-loss record, and a national ranking of number 7.

That year, he had also been named the offensive ‘MVP’ in the annual ‘Shrine Bowl All-Star’ game and was a finalist for South Carolina’s ‘Mr. Football’ award.

In October 2019, in an NFL game against the Baltimore Ravens, he had suffered a severe concussion and was temporarily unconscious. He was cleared from concussion protocol only 10 days after the incident.

In the week 11 game of the 2019 NFL season, against the Cleveland Browns, he was involved in a nasty brawl with the opposition’s players. For his part in the incident, he was fined USD 50k by the league’s governing body. There were even claims that he had used racial slurs of which no evidence was found in an NFL investigation.
