Christian Bruey: Is WFTV Losing Him? Where Is Channel 9 Presenter Going Next After Changing Jobs?
Christian Bruey, a sports anchor and news anchor for WFTV for almost 12 years, is leaving the organization.
Bruey has worked as a sports anchor/reporter, co-host of Channel 9’s “Football Friday Night,” and host of the “Sports Brothers” podcast since joining the channel in 2010.
Channel 9 Eyewitness News will feature Bruey on a regular basis. On July 20, 2021, Tina Commodore, the news director for WFTV Channel 9 announced, “This Morning.”
The anchor just recently announced his departure from the network, thus this appears to have come to an end.
Where is he going and why is he leaving, though? Let’s investigate more to find the solutions.
Presenter Christian Bruey of Channel 9: Leaving WFTV?
The WFTV broadcaster Christian Bruey announced his departure from the network a few hours ago in an Instagram post.
He also said that today would be his last day as a news and sports anchor for the station. In response to his statement, many of his supporters have wished him success and prayed for a better future.
In his twelve years with the network, Bruey has also covered hurricanes, Orlando City Soccer Club’s promotion to Major League Soccer, and the University of Central Florida’s undefeated 2017 football campaign for Channel 9.
Further recognizing Bruey’s commitment, the Florida Associated Press Broadcasters Association gave him awards for best sports anchor and best sports feature in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
Bruey worked for the Hagerstown Suns and the Daytona Cubs, two minor league baseball teams, for three years before to joining Channel 9.
What’s Next for Christian Bruey?
Christian Bruey said on Instagram that he is leaving the channel to launch a new chapter that includes the recycling business PureCycle Technologies.
The business develops a distinctive recycling process that removes color, odor, and contaminants from the plastic waste feedstock in order to produce ultra-pure recycled polypropylene.
Furthermore, it argues that by utilizing waste plastic, a resource that is easily available, PureCycle’s purifying recycling can help customers reduce their dependency on natural resources.
By converting discarded plastic into a nearly brand-new UPR resin with many of the same applications as new, fossil-based plastic, their technique offers a long-term solution to the single-use problem while making recycled polypropylene an accessible and useful material.
